What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

<script>
  /**
   * Writes the current year to all elements that match the selector.
   */
  function setCurrentYear() {
    const YEAR_ELEMENTS_SELECTOR = '[fs-hacks-element="year"]';

    const yearElements = document.querySelectorAll(YEAR_ELEMENTS_SELECTOR);
    const currentYear = new Date().getFullYear().toString();

    yearElements.forEach((yearElement) => {
      yearElement.textContent = currentYear;
    });
  }

  document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', setCurrentYear);
</script>

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Will Telescope join Netflix?

At ProcessOut we’re always looking for fun ways to target amazing companies. Here is our last idea to get in touch with Netflix: Ask Telescope, our virtual payment assistant, to apply to join Netflix’s payment team.

Netflix’s team: Masters of Payments

When it comes to payments Netflix is among the top gun. It is known in the industry to have hired an amazing payment team and to have strongly optimized its payment performance.

We do not have an exact view of Netflix’s current payment infrastructure but we know they have built an amazing billing & payment system. We know they already have some monitoring & routing systems to track and optimize their payment performance.

At ProcessOut, we told Telescope (ProcessOut’s monitoring system / payment assistant) that Netflix is already very optimized and that Netflix’s payment team was really strong. We told him that maybe it was not a good idea. However Telescope loves challenges and it decided to apply. Here is the CV it sent to Netflix.

Why Telescope applied to join Netflix’s team?

Knowing Netflix already has some monitoring & routing tools to optimize its payments, Telescope (our own monitoring system/payment assistant) might seem useless. Telescope thinks it is not! It’s not the first time Telescope has to work with existing monitoring & routing systems built internally. Until today it performed pretty well and demonstrated it could be very complementary. Merchants in the same situation have adopted Telescope. Mainly for two reasons:

  • First it is able to bring some benchmark on the table.
  • Second, it is super user-friendly and payment teams save some of their precious time using our Surface engine (an algorithm based system that is made to underline the potential optimizations that should be investigated) and using our BI/data visualization tool.

Let’s be frank, working for Netflix is an amazing challenge for Telescope. Netflix did not wait for Telescope to optimize its payment performance. Today only the more complex challenges remain. And that’s exactly why Telescope wanted to undertake this challenge and why ProcessOut’s team decided to support Telescope in this challenge!

We hope Telescope will have the chance to interview soon. We will keep you posted.

If you can support Telescope’s application at Netflix or if you’re a Payment Manager and you also want to hire Telescope we would love to hear from you!
